Default Exhaust Compatibility

Anyone know the answer to this?

I have a 2015 Civic Ex Sedan and looking to upgrade the exhaust soon. Some brands of exhaust are supposedly unable to fit my trim of Civic. Is it true that a MagnaFlow Exhaust can be compatible with the 2015 civic si sedan and not the 2015 EX?

Entirely possible. The back portion of the exhaust may bolt up, but might bolt to the cat converter/header due to different engines
