Default TB queston, port matching 68mm s2 to the TB

I had bolted up my 68mm S2 Throttle body to the s2 manifold and my idle jumped all over the place and the car ran like crap. When I put the stock TB back on, it worked perfect. Ive read some archives and think this might be becuase the 68mm tb has to be port matched to the manifold. Am I right, & if has anyone done this, do you have a quick how to on the best way to bore these things?
