after market sun visors?
sorry i'm posting so much on here, i discovered this forum a few days ago and its great!
anyway.... 98 civic... the sun visors are way beyond faded and are falling apart... previous owner always had them rotated all the way against the windshield when parked and they're baked to a crisp..
junk yards are too often..........junk... so i'd rather something cleaner and nicer smelling...
anyone seen aftermarket ones?

just recover them yourself..... take a run to JOAN FABRIC or walmart or any other craft store that sells fabric... find a material that matches closely or that you like.... alittle spray adhesive, and maybe a hot glue gun. DAM..... take your visors down, pull the old burnt/crispy fabric off slap the new stuff around it cut out to fit with 1 piece... and at most cut alittle strip of the fabric fold it around the corners, double it over for a clean edge and glue that sucker around the seam for a nice look. and there ya go.....
i dont see it very hard to try.... wont look as good as factory fresh. but cheaper!

they have replacement visors with little 5 inch monitors built in, i was thinking about getting them, they look normal oem, they just got monitors in them, wire them up to a dvd unit and there u go. their about 100 bucks for both which isnt bad at all, but like everyone else said, just goto the junkyard and get those, spray fabreese on them a few times a day and once they stop smelling, put em in ur car. either that or throw them in a dryer with a few snuggle dryer sheets. just somehow make some kind of protector thing so they dont get damaged being in the dryer.
