Your buddy's gauge cluster, the red one with the lights on (second picture) are exactly what I'm looking for. What did he use/what colour, method, etc.

go to michaels and the spray can is a light bulb/ window spray very small can, the can is like orange color chevy orange or chevy red, youll see it But when you spray the bulbs make sure you spray light coat and cover it all, and also mask off the brown conntector. i can give you a full write up if you want one, just pm me

Yeah, getting bulbs with colored lenses or painting them won't give you exactly the right color since they the lens doesn't filter out all of the white light wavelengths and usually it'l be off colored slightly. If you want true color you get LEDs because those emit a pure wavelength of whatever color you get, not a mixture of wavelengths. Plus they use less power and are way brighter.

o and it tells you the right orange to use

on mine though i took out the BACK up lights so it was only red, see how his has an orange glow around the edge. i took mine out so it was just straight red, like the picture i have

i am trying to tdo the same thing. i want all my interior lights to match. all of them. now i was wondering where do i start and if you guys can help me out step by step..it seems pretty complicated
