01 Honda Civic starting problems-need advice
Okay, here's my long story:
Tried to start-nothing-click. Replaced the battery, it started right up. Next morning-click-nothing. Then, on 3rd try, started right up. Next morning-same thing. Took it to Auto-Zone, parked, tried it, click-no start. Tech came out, tried to jump start it-click-no start. Several tries-nothing. Then he pushed on "some wires"-started right up. After that, started pretty well, maybe after 1 or 2 tries. Then, it happened again. I took it to a mechanic. They couldn't find a problem. Started fine for a while. Then it happened again, tried to start it like 15 times. Nothing. Then, I "fiddled" with the wires like the AutoZone tech. Started right up!! Took it to a different mechanic. He could find no problem, started for him multiple times. 2 days later-it happened again. "Fiddled" with the wires again-started right up! Mechanics both said NO to the idea of a short.
What is going on?? I can't get it fixed, but I'm afraid it's going to stop for real some inconvenient place.

my guess would be a bad fuel pump allowing fuel to drain back into the system requiring you to prime the pump more then once before start up. try this in the morning turn they key to the second position and let the fuel pump prime then turn it off and turn it to the second position again to prime again then try to start the car.
