02 Civic A/C went out, brake light on, & power locks stopped working
All this happened yesterday at the same time. The brake light is on as if the emergency brake is pulled, the A/C is not cooling, and the power locks stopped working. All of the lights work as well as the radio. There is no difference in the braking while driving and the parking brake still works when engaged. The power locks are shot though.
Anyone else ever experience this? Is this a major issue or a issue with the fuses? Please help!!

See this recent thread where another person had the exact same problem:

The OP never followed up if it had been resolved or not. It could just be a blown fuse, could be a dead MCU.

02 Civic A/C went out, brake light on, & power locks stopped working
The exact same thing happened on my 01 Civic EX yesterday. All the sudden the AC and power locks stopped working and brake light came on. From what I've read it sounds like the MCU. Is this what the problem was for you? Did you fix it yourself? Was it difficult?

I have an 01 Civic EX - same problem happened Today ironically, Dome light does not light while door is Open, Power locks don't respond to remote or door switch, A/C does not cool, and Brake light stays lit on dash.....
All forums/threads point to MCU under steering column,
Honda Part**** 38200-S5A-A31, about $150 bucks online from Honda parts now. Will let you know what happens when I replace it.
Honda Part**** 38200-S5A-A31, Fuse Assy.

I had this same problem and I know the fix, its the MCU that has gone bad... NOW, the mcu is integrated in the cabin FUSE BOX. now many people have emailed me asking for my help, but some dont listen. BUY from the dealer with proper model, year, doors, and AT or MT. also DO NOT buy used, atleast thats what I recommend... because 90 percent of the time you will have to buy another one, because it will not be the proper one... so money wasted. I have an extra one email me if interested brand new in box. for an LX, civic, 01, MT.. elchulow@gmail.com
