Default 06 LX Accelerator pedal position sensor ??

I have a 2006 civic lx. I am having a problem with the throttle - it seems to jump up from idel to about 1200 when I trun the wheel.

Anyway I've done some trouble shooting (engine off - key on) and using my auto xray I see that my accelerator/throttle position never goes below 14% and jumps to 17% when I turn the wheel.

I've looked in the manual and it suggest 2 things - reprogram the ecm and if that doesn't help replace the Accelerator pedal position sensor.

I've been to every web site that sells honda parts and can not find the sensor on any of them.

Seems odd to me. Anyone have similar issue?

Default Pedal Position sensor/Switch

Dear Rich95610,

I know this post is a little old, but there were no answers so I thought I would weigh in.

This switch is part of the pedal assembly and you have to purchase the entire assembly not just the switch. The Honda Part # is 17800-SNA-A01 at least for a 2006 1.8L Civic 2 dr coupe.

Look at Majestic Honda for the part or South Bay Honda. They discount their Honda parts by about 30%. The current price for this is $148.97 + Shipping.

Good Luck!
