1989 Civic SI sat for 7 months -- stuck back wheel
Hi all,
This is my first Civic project. It's a 1989 SI, and it has been pretty extensively modified. I'm excited to get started on it, but the back wheel is locked up.
The car sat for about 7 months before I bought it, and the back right wheel won't turn. It's got disc brakes all around.
What are some tips to un-stick my rear wheel? Any help would be so greatly appreciated!
-Joe

It appears the stock configuration was drum brakes. So eventually you'll want to identify which car the brakes you have came from.
Start by trying to get the caliper off. The parking brake cable may be stuck. If you take the caliper off and the wheel still doesn't turn, the bearings would be bad. In most cases it is a cartridge bearing system where the bearings are permanently installed in the hub and you replace the whole thing.
