We are new to this forum and still trying to find our way around. Please bear with us. My sons 2001 LX Coupe w/ AT put up a P1705 code and the "D" light blinks. I downloaded the service manual and did the test procedures @ the PCM. On the blue/white Park and Nuetral wire I am only getting 2.83 volts-all other shifter positions were 4.85 v. I talked w/ a Transmission shop and they said to run a wire from the PCM to the TRS. I did. I shifted through all of the gears three times and no blinking light. Of course it would not start because of the wire being cut and bypassed @ the PCM. So it is not in the PCM/TRS circuit. When I reconnected the blue/white wire @ the PCM it would start and run fine, but as soon as I shifted the "D" started blinking again. The service manual says to check the starter cut relay circuit next. All of the posts I have seen says only the MT's have the starter cut relay. Does the 2001 LX AT have a starter cut relay? If so, where is it located? More background info--The car was in a left front collision and repaired about six months ago. The trans shop asked about this and suggested we start are search for a chaffed or shorted wire around the damaged area. Are there any wires that go near the AC condenser that could cause this problem?
