2002 Civic, replacing ECM/PCU
Hey there, I have been trying to help out my dad in replacing a ECM/PCU (I'm honestly not sure what the correct term is) and we seem to have hooked it up right but the car won't start with the new one. I believe this has something to do with the Immobilizer and I was wondering if there would be anyway to do it ourselves, without having the expensive costs of a dealer.
Thanks in advance!

no not really, unless you have the tool to re-program the keys wich cost over a grand. you mite be able to find a mobile key smith with this tool if you call around otherwise you need to bring it to a dealer. can you run the car in limp mode with the old ecu ?? if so limp it to your nearest dealer then swap the computer in their parking lot. otherwise your going to have to have it towed in.
