Angry 2002 Honda Civic Strange Overheat Problem

Hi,

Recently, my car started to get hot after getting off the freeway. I had the thermostat and removed and that seemed to work, however.... My car remains cool after getting off the freeway. I can drive for 10 miles straight after exiting and no overheating, but if I make a long turn (usually a left-hand turn), my car tends to get hot again. It will stay this way for about a minute after some momentum and then fall below the halfway point, and then it will stay below the halfway point with no overheating problems. My regular mechanic tested the new thermostat and said it is working properly. He is as stumped as I am as to what is going on.

Okay, let me try and explain better. Before I got my new thermostat, my car would overheat after getting off the freeway.

After the thermostat was replaced my car technically does not overheat after exiting the freeway, but that is not 100% true because it will overheat if I make a long turn, usually a left-hand turn. Then, it will overheat again, and this only occurs after some freeway driving. As long as I exit the freeway and drive straight, my car will not overheat, but it overheats after I make a turn. Did I explain that more clearly?
