Default 2004 Civic maintenance questions

My 2004 Civic has 75k miles, I have never done anything to it except oil changes and replacing brake pad/tires when necessary. I think it may be a good idea to change the tranny fluid, brake fluid and timing belt.

Took the car to my mechanics, he told me the brake fluid didn't need to be changed, timing belt need not be changed yet, and drain/refilled my tranny fluid for $50. I am a little confused since the manual says brake fluid need to be changed every 3 years independent of mileage, so I should have been way overdue for a brake fluid change. I am not sure if he knew what he's talking about, but well, at least he's scrupulous, and won't perform maintenance that he deemed to be unnecessary.

So what's the board's opinion on this? What kind of maintenance/tune up should I be doing at this point?
