Default battery drainage

i was wondering if there is any known problems on a 2000 ex 1.6 sohc that causes the battery to be drained if it sits for a few days. i cant figure it out and really dont know how to figure it out. if the car sits for like 3 days the battery will be completely drained. can someone please help?

Check for dome or trunk light not going out. If there's an aftermarket audio system, the amplifier may not be shutting down properly, which will drain the battery.

First check the charging system by measuring the voltage at the battery with the engine running but everything else off. It should be more than 14 volts. If the battery never charges fully it's going to seem like it is run down.

A test to try is to disconnect the battery after you park when it is going to be parked for a while. If the battery is dead upon your return, the battery is running down by itself because it is defective.
