Battery keeps going dead?
This is a brand new battery and it keeps going dead for some reason. I turn everything off, but I have a felling that my cd player is doing it. My brother said the boy that owned the civic before I did prob wired it up wrong, is this possible? Sometimes it starts up right away and other times the battery is just dead its really odd.. And i'm almost positive the cd player is causing it

well first off charge the battery up fully and drive the car to a autozone or what not and have them test the battery and alternator. chances are your alternator is just bad.
if the alternator is bad the car runs off your battery which it is not designed to do so it will run just fine for awhile but will die in time. get it checked out.

as addiction says, go to an auto parts store and they will run a generic test with everything in the car. if they spot something, then you will need to bring it in for a bench test. that will tell you for sure if there is anything wrong with the battery or the alternator. I to admit the alternator on my 98 was a pain in the rear end to remove though I finally got it out.

they dont have to remove anything... they just clamp some wires to your car and have you start it up and there machine can tell if its properly charging or not and if the battery can handle a load.
take like 5-10 mins
