Default A/C belt - tighten

OK, I have a 2000 Honda Civic. A week ago, the A/C belt started making noise. I checked the belts and it needed to be changed. Since it uses three seperate belts, I decided to change all at once. Once I changed, the A/C belt started making the "loose belt" noise. I can't find where to tighten it, can anyone help? I read the manual and it says to tighten the alternator adjustment bolt, does this tighten the A/C belt? Please let me know....

You have three separate drive belts for the power steering, A/C, and alternator. The A/C belt tension adjustment is done through the center idler pulley:

This is where the haynes manual was completely useless on my 92. I'm not sure if they are the same and I can't see the pics that the previous poster posted because my server at work blocks them out.

On the 92 you have to loosen the nut in the center of the pulley (not the one on the compresser, the one on the pulley) and THEN adjust the screw at the top of the pulley bracket tighter or looser.

I didn't loosen the one in the center and couldn't figure out why I couldn't move the pulley up and down. Duh!

Ad RonJ says, adjusting the alternator does nothing to your A/C belt.
