i have a 93 hatchback and the other day i went to start the car and it rolled over 5 times and stoped all the light came on running lights and dash lights and they wouldnt turn off i could turn the key off and pull it out and they would stay on go to start it and nothing at all what is wrong with it?

 

Start with the battery cables - make sure they are tight and not corroded. If they check out okay, charge your battery or remove it and take it to an auto shop so they can charge and load-test it. I'm a bit baffled about your lights staying on. Make sure you didn't accidentally leave the light switch on.

 

i have tried with the battery before and its all fine and i have tried turning off the lights at the switch and it dosnt work even when you pull the key out they all stay on

 

The lock cylinder or ignition switch could be bad. That's about the only reason for stuff to not turn off when you turn the key to off.

im thinking it may be the lock cylinder if so how much would one be? if any one would know

 

or the ignition switch one of them just want to know how much they would both be
