Civic EX '99 D16Y8 Injector Wire Harness
I found out my civic '99 ex has a different intake manifold. It has a P08 when it should have a P2P. Do you guys know if there is a specific reason why the previous owner may have done this? Also, does anyone know what the 5th plug on the injector wire harness is for? I know four are for the injectors. Any help is appreciated.

Update. My car doesn't have a D16Y8. It has a D16Z6 engine.

If you really do have a z6 then that means you have an OBDI engine in there? I may be wrong, but that is how I understand it.

It's a mess. P08/P2p, I am referring to what it says on the back of the intake manifold. I guess they go by those numbers too. '99 Ex is supposed to have a d16y8 but on my engine it says d16z6 at the front side below the head.
This car has been an ongoing discovery. when I bought it, I didn't know much about all this. Had very little knowledge about what happend to it before I bought it. I just based myself on what it says on the odometer (34k). I know for sure, it used to have a turbo. Little by little I'm finding things. When I bought it, It didn't have the primary and secondary O2 sensors, the Air Temp Sensor was missing also, and it had bigger injectors. I fixed all that using the help of a OBDII code reader. Now I am finding that it has d16z6 engine. What I suspect happend was, the previous ower may have blown the original engine and put that one in to be able to sell it. The car runs good though to my best knowledge.

Cool, hey if you need help you know I am always willing to help out. I am still looking into throwing a turbo in there myself, but don't want the same thing to happen to mine. That is why I am researching and learning as much as I can before hand. I hadn't heard from you in a while so wasn't too sure how that whole mess has been turning out. Remember I have the D16Y8 on mine still. You are more than welcome to check mine out. I don't think there is much of a difference in the z6 and y8. They appear to have a slight difference in compression ratio. Maybe pistons and the dome on the heads.

hey buddy, after you left I remembered your original question on what the 5th connection was for. We never really looked into that. I was looking for a 5th connection on mine, but can't find one. Maybe it is under the fuel rail. Did you ever figure it out?

P08 is not only a ecu, you will find p08 stamped on everything from the intake manifold to the pistons and yes that does indicate a OBD1 D16Z6 which IMO is better than the D16Y8
