Default condenser fan fuse keeps blowing

I have a 1995 civic dx 5 speed, and everytime I turn on the a/c in my car it runs for a couple minutes and then blows te 20 amp fuse under te hood for the condenser fan, any ideas wheee to start or how to fix this?

The compressor and the fan are on the same fuse. The problem is usually a partly shorted compressor clutch coil, or bad bearings in the fan. Make sure the fan spins freely by hand. The resistance of the compressor clutch (from the wire to ground) should be more than 3 ohms. Also check that the clutch wires aren't rubbing the pulley and shorting out.

Also I think the fuse is spec'd for 15A not 20. Don't use larger fuses.

Ok, I'll get my multimeter back out when I get off work today and check it out. And te fuse box cover said it took a 20amp fuse and there was a 20 amp fuse in there as well, idk.... thanks for the advice and I will let you know the results

Use a 20A if that's what the cover says.

The cover did say 20A, and I probed the red wire on the compressor and the black wire grounded to the top of the compressor and th numbers jumped around on first contact but always zeroed out but did have something not anything close to 3 ohms though. Does that mean my compressor clutch is bad?
