Bingo!!, thank you mk378 for confirming that, the fan did come on with a jumper,
I wonder how much this little sensor is going to cost me.

I already knew the valves need to be checked when the car is cool, and my maintenance book explains which way you turn it,,

My only problem with the valves are I only have millimeter feeler gauges, I used a inch two MM converter that I found on the Internet.

The book calls for .007 -.009 on the intake and.009-.0011 on the exhaust,

.007 = .1777mm
.009 = .228mm
.0011 = .02794mm <--some thing is not right here my book maybe wrong should be .011 right??? = .2794mm

So for the intake I have .20mm and for the exhaust .25mm

If I'm not mistaken this should work... both numbers fall in the middle.

I plan on doing this first thing in the morning but I will wait until someone confirms that this is OK to use.

I am going to get that temperature sensor, and a cylinder pressure tester, the shop wants 40 dollars to do it and I found a tester for 30, so I'm just going to do that myself, I'm sure I can find info on the correct way to do it in these forms.

Thanks again guys.
