Default Ef Fuel Pump Problems

Whats up guys. Pretty Much i got a 1991 honda civic dx sedan (ef). I am having problems with when i go to start my car sometimes it will crank, sometimes it wont. Im hearing the clicks in my relay but not hearing the fuel pump prime. So I checked all my fuses and everything. Well i decided to just change the fuel pump. So i dropped my tank and changed out the pump. Only thing i did which was dumb and wanted the job over was use my old strainer(shop didnt have one when i bought pump.) Car started up and ran from friday till Tuesday morning. I was driving and car just stalled out on me. It started back up ran for about another 7 miles approximately then died out and hasnt started at all. Could the pump have went bad from not changing the strainer? Could it be something electrical that is burning the pump out? Im completely lost and need help. Ill give any details when asked pictures or whatever just help me pleasee!!

Did you ever resolder the main relay? Always do that first.

Take the back seat cushion out and measure at the fuel pump wire to see if the car is powering up the pump when you turn the key on. If the wire has power but the pump doesn't run there is a problem with the pump. Also check the tank ground wire under the seat.

i checked the circuit board on the main relay no black spots or anything it all looks good(if thats what your talking about). Lucky i get use to tools from my work. So i just grabbed a DC volt meter. Ill have to grab my buddy though cause i have no idea how to check electrical stuff at all. Ill have him check everything you just said for me. Thank You for the quick reply. I wont get back to this till probably tomorrow or later tonight though cause i have my whole tank dropped at home and not off till 330pm today.

So the fuel sending unit like cable that plugs in under my back seat looks really gross. My friend flaked on me. So i bought the whole pump assembly and that wire for 138$ gonna install and see whats up when it gets shipped to the shop. maybe late next week
