Default Front wheel noise

I have a 2002 Civic EX that is making a loud noise on the front driver side as we speed up. Put it up on jack stands to see if it was a wind noise but its still there. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Wheel bearing or something like that?????

Either this, or axle, or brakes. Try to be more descriptive with the sound..

It's more like a buzzing that intensifies with the speed. The brakes are good b/c they're not getting hot.

Buzzing? Hmmm. Are you sure you do not have any loose wires/fasteners/plastic parts around the wheel well? Does the sound change when you brake?

Whinning or humming noises which vary with road speed or while turning left or right is caused by a bad wheel bearing. Cracking or clicking noise especially while turning and accelerating or reversing and accelerating is the outboard CV Joint. Cracking or clicking while driving straight or even accelerating or suspension action would be inner CV Joint, but if it makes a noise around turns its not the inner CV Joint. Taken directly from my Auto Service Tech book DRIVELINES that we just finished. Good Luck

Pretty sure its not a loose wire, put it up on jack stands and the drivers wheel did not turn freely and the passenger front did in neutral. Might be more like a loud exhaust system sound than a buzz.

You did not answer if the sound changes while braking?

Then I would think it's your wheel bearing most probably. Try to wiggle the wheel holding its lower and upper parts while on jack stand. If you feel/see the play other than just the tire, than it's time to replace wheel bearing.
