i just did head job on my 96 ex. i started it up know oil all over intake is there a plug maybe machine shop took out or is head gasket upside down. looks like no oil reached under valve cover when i looked in oil fill. i just walked away from it what should i do or look for?

 

Is it from the VTEC solenoid? The gasket between the solenoid and head can blow and cause a major oil leak.

There's only one oil feed through the head gasket, the passage in the back center. There should be a metal ring in the gasket around it. I don't think it is possible to put the head gasket on the wrong way, nothing would line up.

 

went back and took intake off there is a hole in head but dont looks like theres threads to bolt a plug to? its in the center .

 

could it be like push in plug? or something under valve cover?

 

Pics would help sir. Is oil IN the intake or just leaking from around it? Is your pcv valve in good shape?

 

it turns out machine shop left a little round ball that plug a hole. they came to the house to hammer that little thing in. weird i'll found out if it works tommorow in the day light. thanks for input!
