headlights won`t go on but highbeams will
The other day I went to go drive my car when i went to put my headlights on...they didn`t turn on...the only lights that turn on are my parking lights and the high beams..i checked all of the possible fuses..from the two headlight fuses inside to the one under the hood...any one have an idea?

What year is your car? I just bought by my 01 Civic and I am having the same problem. First I thought the bulbs were burnt but they were fine, and it would seem odd that both relays would burn so I am ruling that out for now. I did read somewhere else about a recall for the 01 Civic with regards to a faulty headlight switch where the low beams stop working, so I am calling a dealer tomorrow to see if I can get more info. If you do fix it, could you let me know what was wrong andI will do the same. Thanks.

Probaly the bulb. That exact samething happened to me before on my 94 ex. All I did was change the bulb and everything was back to normal. I dont know why but both of my low beam burned out the the sametime, same day and same hour.

I tested the voltage at the terminal. I've attached a diagram of what I read with both lo-beam and hi-beam looking down at the driver side terminal:
Also, myhighbeam indicator in the dash does turn on when I turn switch it to highbeam......
Thanks.

that happened to me last night. i kept the high beam on and then the regularlights came on after a while. i was thinking maybe because it was so cold? it was about 10 degrees last night. the car also sputtered a lil bit when starting it up.

I spent a lot of time testing these voltages, and trying to make sense of the outputs. It does seem backward at first, but its because the resistances are configured in an odd way. Being an engineering student already, I've forgotten exactly what the internal circuity was, as I've crammed too much in my brain since then!! [&:] However, from what I CAN remember, your outputs look to be correct. I'm almost 100% sure it has to do with the recall...
If your interested, and if I can pull it out of the depths of my brain, I can try and refigure that circuity...
