Default HELP!!! with 93 Honda Civic

I have a 94 Civic. It will NOT crank. I replaced the fuel pump and it gets fire only when I put a constant hot from the battery to the fuel pump. Also it only cranks up when I spray starter fluid in the air intake until it burns off. It does have gas in it. PLEASE someone what should I check... I am at a loss.

Check the main relay under the drivers left side dash area above the kick panel. These are known to go bad or have bad solder joint on them.

+1.
Everyone who has a 1988 to 1995 model should do this as a preventative measure, if it hasn't already been done.

If that doesn't help, check the fuel pump fuse. Also is the car is new to you, check continuity of the wire from the main relay to the fuel pump. Many people put a hidden "kill switch" in the wire. Turning the switch off when the car is parked makes it much harder to steal.
