Help Im exhausted!! codes p0501,p0135,p0141
Bone stock 2003 Civic LX sedan 229,000 rolling chasis 130,000 on trans and motor. 1.7 sohc
so it's throwing o2 sensor codes. I get a reading of 5ohms for the top and 18ohms for the bottom so i should be good there right? I bought new ones just for kicks and of course it did not fix the problem.
also I have reset the ecu with the obd2 meter and also left battery unplugged for a week nada! no luck. From the cars harness that goes to the o2 sensor I can not get 12volts so......?????? on either down or upstream.
Ok, so now the 501 code vss. the speedo mph does not work the tach does. I have replaced the vss that is inside the engine compartment it has 3 prongs and is long has a gear like drive located on top of the tranny closet to the firewall. This didn't fix nada.... Help???!!!! Stuck.
I also have a battery light on fyi
tnx please help this car is past due on smog.

What you are experiencing sounds exactly like the Fuse 15 problem on 1996-2000 models-- shorted wire behind the engine leads to blown fuse under the dash which denies power to many sensors and causes lots of codes. Even though the sensors themselves are OK, they cannot operate without power so the ECU throws a code.
You need to have 12 volts on one of the heater wires all the time with the key on. This comes directly from the key and the fuse and will happen even if the sensor is bad. The alternator and VSS also require voltage from the same circuit.
