Help. Need to REMOVE rear view mirror.
Yeah, weird, normally it's the opposite. So, WITHOUT playing King Kong and body slamming it, hold does one properly remove a rear view mirror??
Car: 93 Civic
Thanks in advance!

On the base of the mirror, making an imaginary line perpendicular to the ground, there is a screw. Unscrew it and slide the base of the mirror upwards following the angle of the windshield to slide it off of the metal bracket that is glued to the windshield

is it glued to the windshield or on the roof?
if its on the roof remove the plastic cover with a flat screw driver to pop it off and remove the 3 philips screws...
if its on the windshield they have several types, allen screws to lock it on the bottom of the windshield mount, of if no screws are visable then some use a clip that you use a scerw driver pushed up in there and turn it to release the clip and then slide the mirror mount up, but your windshield tab will still be on the windshield. just dont try to remove the metal tab on the windshield..... you risk busting the glass.... best time to remove the tab is on a VERY VERY HOT DAY and a lighter on the windshield to heat it up even more and hopefully you can pull it off and not bust the glass windshield... its still a risk tho... other way is get some hard bass and crank it up on a hot day and hopefully it will eventualy just vibrate off cleanly.LOL
very easy...
