iac question

can you put a iac valve from a non vtec on a vtec1.6

What model year? From 1996 to 2000 there were two types of valves:

2 - wire: Used on manual EX
3 - wire: Automatic EX and all DX or LX.

Before 1996 there were only 2-wire IACs.

i have a 94 honda civic ex vtec and it came off the same year different motor
