Default Idle Trouble

i have a 2002 honda civic ex with the 1.7L engine. the idle seems to either be running a little slow or like it is really rough. I checked to see if there was an idle screw but there wasn't so i am not exactly sure what to do. Please Help

Check the IAC for carbon buildup first.

Default Checking the IAC

So just in case anyone else was having this trouble, i looked at the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) which in my model year was under the compartment holder for the air filter. I uploaded a picture of what the IAC is. It is the item circled and has 3 screws to get out. Put a rag under it when you take it off because it will leak a little antifreeze. The arrow on the pic is the electrical plug for the sensor in the IAC. It was a little gunked up so i spent about 2 bucks on a carburetor cleaner from walmart and it worked really well. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR GLASSES!!! I had no idea and didn't think i needed it and got some in my eye and it hurt like a **** so i suggest glasses.

The car's idle is running a whole lot better now although it still is a little rough so mechacode or any other person who might have some other tricks please let me know. Thank you
