leaky oil pan.

Default leaky oil pan.

my oil pan has been leaking for a while...i guess it could have to do with that huge dent in it.[&:]...anyone against me using silicone?...i was thinkin of droping the oil pan and putting a good seal of silicone on the gasket and seeing if that works..what u guys think

get some gasket maker from autozone or whatever that is made for oil. a lot of sealants will break down when exposed to oil, so i'd get one made for it. but i think an oil pan gasket is only like 15 bucks, get a new one and seal it with the gasket sealer.
