Hello fellas
I have a 04 civic and my seatbelt light wont turn off. My seat belt used to be messed up due to one accident so I replaced it with a brand new one. Now The seatbelt light still wont turn off, is there any reset buttom i could press to reset it? or how does it work???
Everything works fien on the car, even all the seatbelts.
If you guys could help me out here I would appreciate it. Thanks

Did you also replace the socket that the buckle latches into? There's a switch in there that controls the light. Pull up the carpet behind the seat and you'll see the wire for it. Make sure the wire is plugged in.

The car could also be thinking there is a passenger in the other front seat and their belt is not buckled. Buckle that belt even though no one is sitting there and see if the light goes out. This is controlled by a switch in the passenger's seat.
