Default O2 Sensors and P0172!

Hello Forum! I am new to the forum and want to get some more info about O2 sensors. I purchased a used 1998 Civic HX in 2002. Since then I have had a re-occuring check engine light come on. It is almost always P0172 and sometime P0141. Early on I made the mistake of taking the car to multiple shops. As a result I have replaced the Fuel Injectors and am now about to replace the O2 Sensors for the 2nd time. (As you may know, there are nearly $600 in O2 sensors on this car!)

My question: Is this a known issue? Does anyone have any input? I feel like I'm dumping way too much money into this problem yet it doesn't go away. I've heard that my oil level and gas quality can cause the O2 sensor to fail. I ama Honda fan but frankly this undying issue is causing me to 2nd guess that belief.

Any insight will be helpful. Thanks!

-Michael
