oil dipstick tube...
O.K. I just went to check my oil and when I pulled up on the dipstick the whole damn tube came out. WTF???
I put it back in, but that is not a good thing I would think. What should I do?
Thanks in advance guys and girls. LOL

RE: oil dipstick tube...
Dunno 'bout Civics, but generally dipsticks (other than the two legged kind ) are two piece. On piece is mounted low on the block, the second piece usually has a bracket that holds it in place higher on the block. Again, I'm not sure with Civics. But usually they just separate and there's a "rubber grommet" where they meet, to keep the oil from seeping out.

I talked to the auto shop teacher at my school. He said that on civics there should be a tab with a bolt that holds it on. We went and looked and turn out the IDIOT that did my timing belt didn't put it back on.
A 7 cent screw and a 15 cent piece of aluminum later, and its fixed. LOL
Scared the **** out of me though. I thought, OH **** WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE????
