Default cv joints/axle

my front end was popping pretty bad so i decided to replace the bad axle, after starting i decided to replace all the front end components(ball joint,tie-rods,upper control arm)...iam going to do this on both sides with the possible exception of the driver's side cv axle(boots are intact,no leakage).. car has 105 k and runs great....i really don't want to do this again... so my question is should i expect much more out of the good axle...do they wear out at so many miles even if the boots aren't torn or cut...i want to keep this car another 5 years or 170,000 miles..any advice or suggestions would be appreciated...the axle only costs 60 bucks....i repeat ,i don;t want to do this job again.....thanx compo1

i was just told by my local performance shop that when places rebuild axles they will use smaller bearing, so if you take your axle somewhere to be rebuilt maybe this would be something to ask them about. my bearings went out the same day the axle was installed. get a lifetime warrenty
