Default Ignition Fuse

Hello to all,

My stepson's '92 Civic (he just recently bought it) has battery power but when turning the key nothing is happening. He just recently installed a pretty massive sound system (2 amps, 4 subs) and up until this morning, all seemed well. He's wondering if he may have blown a fuse. Where would one find the fuse box in this car and specifically, where would the "ignition specific" fuse(s) be located?

Thanks in advance for all help,

David

Do the lights on the dash (battery, oil, check engine) come on when turning the key on? If so it has power to the ignition but it could be the starter or related circuitry. If not there are some big main fuses in the fuse box next to the battery. If the sound system is wired properly (amps direct to the battery, with new fuses for them), it shouldn't affect things.

There are two fuse boxes, one under the dash on the driver's side (left hand side). The second is in the engine compartment near the battery. I believe the fuse for the ignition system should be in th engine fuse box.
