Default Removing stubborn rear wiper arm 03 Si hatch

Alright so I just picked up a pretty clean 03 Si hatch, but most of the plastic parts are pretty badly faded so I've decided to replace them. Picked up a wiper arm at the dealership thinking it would be as simple as removing 1 bolt and pulling the arm off, but this thing just really doesn't want to come off. I've heard of people using a flat head to pry it off, but it was starting to damage the plastic piece that the arm is mounted on, so I don't want to do it this way.

Any advice on how to get this thing off? Is there any harm in using liquid wrench or some other sort of lubricant? Thanks.
