Replacing inner tie rod on driver side
Does anyone know how to change the inner tie rod on the drivers side of a 95 honda civic ex?
I removed the outer tie rod and the bellows that covers the inner tie. I not sure how to remove the inner tie rod. My Haynes manual did not give any information on removal or installation of the inner tie rod.
Thanks

From your diagram, I am trying to remove the rack end. The parts store and honda called the rack end an inner tie rod.
From the diagram it appears the rack end unscrews from the steering rack. The question I have is after I have removed the outer tie rod and bellows, will I be able to reach the rack end with the wrenches to remove it, or will I have to remove other parts.
Also, is there anything else I should be aware of when removing the rack end?

The service manual where the diagrams were taken describes removal of the entire steering rack assembly from the car prior to taking off the rack end. I don't know whether or not this is necessary. You'll soon find out. Let us know the answer.

I was able to remove the inner and outer tie rod without removing the entire steering rack assembly. I did this by turning the steering wheel in the direction that exposed the both the inner and outer tie rods so that I could put wrenches on them to remove. Thanks for your help
