Default Temperature controls not working

Hi

I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hatchback 1.4l, I bought the car back in January and have never appeared to have any control over the temperature of the heater, it has always came out lukewarm once the cars up to temperature, whatever the weather outside, I experience the same problem wether in -3 or +21 degrees.

I have scanned for fault codes using an ODB2 reader and the torque pro app and the ecu has logged no fault codes.

Would appreciate any help you can offer, cheers.

But the car itself is getting up to temperature according to the temperature gauge, so could the thermostat still effect just the heat out of the heater

This is controlled by a motor which responds to the setting of the temperature dial on the dash. Do the other functions of the control panel, such as selecting the air outlet mode and engaging the A/C, work? You should hear the motors run when you have the key on (don't start the engine to keep it quieter) and move the controls on the dash.

The control panel is actually a small computer and it has a self test mode, though I don't know offhand how to engage the self test. Copies of the service manual can be found on the Internet.

Yes the output select dial and intensity both work, no AC on my car though, can hear no audible indication that the temp select is doing anything, il have a look through the manual though see if I can find the self test

I have run the self test and had a blinking air recirculation light, after it had run all the test.

That is a video I took of the light

It should blink a number of times, pause, and blink that same number again. Count the number of blinks and look up in the table in the manual.

I get 14 flashes then it pauses and repeats. Il try to download a service manual later to try to find out what it means. Cheers
