Default Timing belt Change, car wont start

Hi all I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX. I recently changed the timing belt. Upon starting the car, it ran good for about 2 seconds, then sputtered and died. Now it will not start at all. Any idea what could have caused this? I was pretty certain that I had it in time when I replaced the belt (until the car died lol). Is there anything that could have happened or something I forgot to connect that could cause this? I am sure I got the cam sensor and crank sensor connected when finishing the job. Any help is appreciated.

Check cam timing (if tensioner wasn't tight, the belt could have skipped). Check for damage to the crank sensor wires, if not put together properly they get caught in the pulley or belts. Check ECU codes.

Thanks for the advice. I will check the cam timing tomorrow. I am sure it was very tight when I sealed it up, but I will check to make sure. I am getting no ECU codes. Is there anything that could have happened that would cause my fuel to get shut off?

I think I might have actually been off a tooth or it jumped. Is there anything special I need to do with the tensioner to release the tension besides loosen the bolt and spring? When I put on a new one, I know it was important to know pull the grenade pin until it was done, but now I have obviously already pulled it.

Ok. I have taken everything apart and back together. I would bet money everything is on and on time. However, I get nothing when I try to start. Engine will crank but it won't even attempt to start.

re-check all your connection of harness and wire, make sure everything is connected.

If it was allowed to turn while badly out of time, the valves could have crashed.

THanks for the replies. I am thinking I might have screwed myself. It didn't seem badly out of time, maybe two teeth at the most. But after popping the valve cover off, I noticed that every other intake valve had about 1/4" of play when it was at TDC. I don't have a compression tester right now, but I am thinking that I crashed the valves.
