Default trouble shooting

when the car hits 4500 rpm its like its hitting a rev limiter while still gaining speed but at a loss of power car drive great other than this

thanks for the tip checked codes the speed sensor was no getting good contact fix that and know its back to given me wiplash when the cip kicks in i also had a o2 sensor code my o2 sensor is not in use due to the fact that the wiring harness which came outa a 1.6 does not have a pug for it instead i have a plug identical to the one for the distributor any tips on how to get the check engine light to go off without having a plug for the o2 sensor and what that other plug may be for i tried to plug it into the distributor and car would not start ?
