Trying to sell my wrecked Civic
Hi, I'm a new user here, so I apologize if this is the wrong place to post.
I recently crashed my 2002 Honda Civic with 83,000 miles on it. A body shop wrote up an estimate to repair it that came out to $6200. The radiator and AC unit are wrecked, and besides that it's pretty much all body stuff. I've decided to sell it instead of having it fixed. How much should I ask for it?
I've attached some pictures.
Thanks!

Just this summer I totaled my 2000 Honda Civic LX with 115,000 on it (100% not my fault). Insurance paid me $6500 and I got to keep the totaled car and I put it on craigslist for $1500 OBO. The car had just a little bit more damage than yours and it was an LX (so it had less hp, fewer upgrades), and I got $1200 for it. So you could easily get $1500, maybe even more for it.
Use craigslist, but don't put your phone number on there, you'll have everyone and there mom calling your for a 2002 honda parts car/ fixer-upper.
I sold my car within 2 days of posting it and had gotten about 30 e-mails.

My 2000 Civic got totalled last year in a very similar front end accident. I bought it back and actually had it rebuilt for $2000...
But I'd say $1500 as a parts car is an ok price. Though that is a "low miles" engine.

Being an EX it may be worth very slightly more due to the better engine than LX. The tuner market does not want either kind of D17 engine though.
If it were my car I'd patch it up enough to make it legal to drive again and keep using it. It looks like the air bags did not come out, which would have made it prohibitively expensive to restore.
