when i apply gas when coasting at around 20mph car jerks hard
hi,
so i have a 1996 honda civic with 150,000 miles automatic. One thing i've noticed is that when i am coasting (not using the gas pedal) and the speed goes below 20mph and then i press on the gas the car jerks a little and i hear a sound as if the engine is hitting something a bit. like for instance i am driving at about 35 mph and then i come to a corner with a green light. i let off the gas and turn the corner. my speed goes down to about 20mph so i can turn the corner safely. after i've turned the corner i step on the gas to get back to 35 mph but the minute i hit the gas the car jerks heavily. at no point did i stop the vehicle. my question is could this be due to a worn engine mount? if not then what could it be?
as always thank you for the help.
