you NEED a newer engine. You will not get away with putting a 91 engine in a 97 car and have it registered in California.

new engine..i forgot that cali has that law that you can only legally swap a new engine... its not worth it to me to use an obd1 engine because i dont really want to re-wire my car, even though you do have more paramiters to tune stock with obd1....MXS is right. do what she says, buy the new engine. dont even bother with the H22 IMO, sure, their fast, but it takes a lot more modification to your car to make it work, makes the front end heavier so you need to get even stiffer suspension up there and maitnince will be pretty difficult. if you really want a list of those mods needed to make it work, just ask, or search the forum, i think it has been covered once or twice.

no its ok ... but i think i am gonna go with the b16 ... sound like itll be safer deal ... and a better long term engine ... so how hard would it be to get the b16 up to 200 w/o boost ...

without doing all the math in my head I'd estimate a 200whp turbo B16 is cheaper than a 200whp all motor B16.

Haha, nice one Flip. Eyelids make the front look so much more agressive.
