2002 short shifter

2002 short shifter
Hello everybody this is my first civic (I came from the vw world) and have a 2002 civic 4 door 1.7 5 speed and am looking at the skunk 2 shift **** and a short shifter does my car use an adapter of some sort thats all I can find anyway I'm not sure if it takes a diffrent shifter or I use the stock one so if someone would be kind enough to explain it to me I would be greatful thanks in advance.

Kind of dont understand your question, but here goes an answer. When you buy a short throw shifter, you get the shifter (long metal piece) and you have to replace the stock one with the new one. As for the ****, you can use the old one if you want, it just screws on and is made so you could grip the shifter.

LMAO I aint that much of a newbie.I was asking if my civic needed a diffrent shifter beacuse I have saw nothing but short shift adapters for my car. I havent found an actual shifter for my car at all.I do want to replace it soon with a skunk2 weighted **** and a short shifter if I can get one.

ok searched and searched and didnt find anything.
But there was a guy on this thread that was going to do it, so maybe you could ask him.

i have a short shifter in my 1999. go to www.vibrant performance.com or ebay.
