2005 Civic SI
I just bought a 2005 Civic SI. It's alright. I'm not a "car" guy, I've driven a truck since I was 16, but I can't afford $3 a gallon anymore on a 6 mi/gal vehicle. I also ride a CBR. I've been wrenching since I was 12, and I install car electronics professionally. I like the car a lot so far. It's fun and light and quick. All my cousins and my brother are totally into sport compact cars, but they only know about the cars they have. I wanted to know what I should do to make it quick. I can't afford turbo yet, but I do want to do Cat-back, headers, and intake. My roommate had a Hondata reflash done on his RSX-S. I was wondering if that was worth the money for an SI. Also, have there been any problems with this car since it's release in 2002? I would like to know what they are, so I could try to avoid them before they come. Another thing, if anyone needs car electronic stuff, I know the best places to get it, locally (socal) or online. Hit me up and post replies.
Thanks,
Josh

RE: 2005 Civic SI
I was just reading an issue of honda tuner, and they said that it is fairly easy to put a RSX type-s head and Type-s tranny in my car. I haven't read any posts about anyone doing it, but a lot of major tuners like Hansport and Hondata have done it successfully. If anyone knows how hard and expensive this will be, let me know.
