Default 98 EX Noob

Whatsup all... I just bought a 98 EX Civic for gas and I'm loving it! Red, sunroof, MT, cruise, power everything Oh did I mention the gas mileage!?! I'm seeing that the 98 EX has the most powerful stock engine (D16Y8 [127hp blah blah blah]) but how does it actually measure up in the grand sceme of the tuner-world. Second question, I have seen a civic with an SiR badge on it and it had the same headlights, taillights, general body styling etc... Is this a canadian born civic? I've been reading this forum and if I read correctly, isn't the canadian SiR and the US EX the same car? 1st post guys so show me some love!

Hey, welcome to HCF.

In the grand scheme of the tuner world, you have a fantastic platform to mod. The list is literally endless.

I am not the greatest at different models, but I think the SiR is the type-r isn't it? I know the Canadian Si and the USDM Ex are the same deal, even though my car is Candian and it's an Ex so go figure, but anything I see with an "R" in the badge I ain't racin'.

I see said the blind man... I did not really have anything in mind to do with it. I replaced the four old struts with some KYB AGX's and I purchased the same Megan strut combo that forty04 has. I've not driven it yet, with the new parts, but I'm hoping it tones down the mushiness in the corners. I generally only upgrade things as they wear-out. But these cars fascinate me, and I joined here to learn about them...oop the radio's talkin...gotta jet...
