is it really a resistor pack like old school cars, or is it a transistor pack(potted electronic speed control)???

I think it has one transistor and one resistor...I bought the part from the dealer.

well i guess anything is possible, maby you got a bad one outta the box... or maby its not the exact one for your car... one other question, i'm not familiar with your particular motor, does the motor itself have just 2 wires going to it, or more?

hmmm makes me question the switch...if there were more than just 2 wires going into the motor then it would me a multi wound motor, and i'd say that there was a problem with the windings inside, but if its just 2 wires then about the only things left are the wires going to and from all the parts and the switch itself...
