RE: Advice?
hi, welcome to the forum.
i like the price. i say go for it. buy that civic.
in terms of changing the tranny just swap it with a manual tranny, the clutch parts, and the flywheel. i would go to a good shop for that though.

Welcome to the forum!
And um, a 2000 EX for 2 grand? There's a catch somewhere.
How many miles? What condition is it in? Accidents?
If it's all good though, buy it and do a tranny swap, it'll still be cheaper than getting any other '00 EX that's worth driving.

RE: Advice?
WELCOME! ya 2k is pretty cheap, find out all the specs and maybe have it inspected and whatnot. it is possible to do a tranny swap but it wont be cheap nor easy. like amg said, it will prolly still be cheaper than buying another car...prolly best to have it professionally done.

RE: Advice?
Welcome to HCF. Well for starters the book value on that car is more than $2000 so in my opinion I say go for it. I would figure out why I'd be getting the car for such a steal though. If it's in good shape I would suggest a CAI, headers, and exhaust for starters. Then maybe if you have your heart set on it putting in that manual transmission.
