Default Another Noob post, what's up kids!

How's it going everyone? I just wanted to share a few pix of my sled that I picked up for $600 couple of weeks ago. It's a '97 DX with 120K on it, came with 17's, $500 Alpine stereo, manual steering[sm=smiley21.gif], 5sp, and the obvious. I want to get rid of those skirts and put stock ones on, paint the fender and put stock mirrors on. It's my new daily driver, oh yeah - it needs new cv axles 'cause they're clicking like crazy! Phil

fixed it for ya [sm=bounceybounce.gif] Good choice for a DD. The MPG On those things is damn impressive. Looks like a ricer had it before you, so make sure to sea foam it, new plugs, wire cap and rotor, and maybe clean the air filter. Then youll be getting like 40mph or so.

It was actually my friend's ex-boyfriend that did all that, there is more, stupid light up pedals that don't light up and the wires for them are hanging around the clutch, white gauges (I can deal with that). Full tune up is coming, air filter is pretty dirty (K&N is going in),some no name plugs are going in the trash too. But as far as I know, she had the car since it had 70K and had oil change every 3K. I don't think it ever had timing belt put in and I really don't feel like doing it right now, but I guess you got to do what you gotta do. Good to hear it gets good MPG, I get 38-45 from mu GSXR now.

Do the timing belt and water pump soon. IF you dont and it snaps it WILL bend the valves and youll need a new head. Its a pain in the *** but thats something you only need to do once......and its done with.

HAHAHA! Well, I'm a car lover and a Mustang enthusiast, IMO Civic is a great car, in fact I think Honda makes one of the most reliable cars and motorcycles around. I work for the company that deals with cars all the time. www.eventsolutions.net

BTW, how long should it take me to replace timing belt? It doesn't look all that bad, there is nothing in the way!
