B18, and as for moddin it with NA in mind then dropping a turbo in it that's a bit risky, depending on the boost you'd be running you'd have to lower your CR run a very high octane gas and colder spark plugs to avoid detonation. And what car would you be dropping these into? and the H22 unless your driving a lude i'd go with the B series with the weight of an H22 you'd have to work on suspension just to get the power to the wheels right(unless that's what you were planning to do anyways)

the only real drawback of a b18c1 compared to a b16 is the cost. if you can afford it, get the b18c1. FI is fine, but it takes some careful tuning and a bit of restraint on the boost controller. keep the boost low, like 4-6 psi, and a dohc vtec will be fine.

From what Ive heard, the b18 is a really good engine, but if yorue gonna run a turbo youre going to need to keep the compression low. The b16 is also good, and less expensive

If your concern is weight and you have some ends, I'd go with the F20B. It's a bit lighter than the H22 and still has 2.0L & 200hp. Plus, I haven't seen anyone else up on the highly underrated F-series motors, start a new trend.

The H22 is not to heavy, if you get a cf hood and relocate your battery to the back of the car it will be fine. The only B series I am a fan of is the B20 and the B18C5 and I think a B16 is the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. The B16's tq curve is laughable at best and for all you people that think otherwise hp dont mean jack w/o tq and the B16 has less tq all the way throught the rpm range than a D series. This is why if you race a B16 powered civic from a dig and neither of you "stage" or rev it up before going a D16 powered civic will walk about a half car or so till 50 or so mph.

As far as the B18C1 it is ok I guess but if I got one it would have a B16 head and ITR intake manifold swapped on to it asap. In terms of bang for the buck the B20 hands all of them their *** on a platter. With a 84mm bore and it's long stroke it is a very tq'y motor and it responds very well to bolt-on type mods

The F20B requires no more to put into a civic than a H series
