Default Buying a new Civic LX ... have a question

Hi,

The dealer is saying the car is better than the average CIVIC because it has a VIN number starting with J, meaning it was built in Japan.

Is there any truth to his statement that a Civic built in Japan is any better than one assembled here in the USA?

Thanks,

Ron

It does indeed mean that is was built in Japan,
And it may be of maginally better quality, but I certainly would not pay more for it than any other civic.

well.. umm.. what is the price diffrence they are asking? like.. 200$ more? look on the lot for a LX not made in Japan and compare how much the price is. Also, ask the dealer what the diffrence is. If their is added parts then it may be worth it.
